Maidstone Men's 5s v Burnt Ash

A sound team performance. Maidstone were always in control yet couldn’t really stamp their authority on the game. Attacking from the start saw the home side up 2-0 within 20 minutes with goals from open play by Gavin Mell and Nigel Swaffer ( who by scoring can boast having scored for Maidstone in 7 decades).
After this Maidstone played with lacklustre and didn’t put the game to bed until midway through the second half when Gavin Mell scored from top of “D”. However Burnt Ash pulled one back when a shot which was going wide was deflected off a defender’s stick past the wrong footed keeper. Paul Holkham was MOM due to his tireless running and his 2 goal assists .
