

Maidstone travel to Burnt Ash undefeated in 9 games, confidence running high. From the 1st whistle though things didn't seem right, Maidstone's normal fluid passing and running off the ball wasn't there. Several attacks making it into the D but good defending and poor touches stop the ball from going in.
7 minutes in however, Ash Messenger managed to keep his head and slots the ball passed the keeper from some good play through the midfield.

The game continued in this way for another 25 minutes with many chances going begging, both short corners and normal play shots not being converted until Ian Lowe steps up and slams a shot into the bottom right corner from yet another short corner.

Maidstone had pushback and Ian Lowe takes it, driving forward with his midfield and attackers along side, he passes to Gav Mell at the top left of the D who slots the ball away with aplomb 13 seconds into the 2nd half.

Maidstone now look like the team they are, Positive and there to enjoy the game together. Flowing passes and great running off the ball see Alastair Coffey on the p-spot and clear just 3 minutes later to make it 4.

Ian Lowe puts away another short just 4 minutes after, beginning a 10 minute goal fest as Maidstone go from 5-0 to 11-0 with goals from Barry Coffey,Gav Mell, Alastair Coffey,Edward B,Ash Messenger and another from Ian for his 2nd hatrick of the season.

4 minutes later and Gav had his 3rd of the game and a minute after that Ash scores his 3rd.

Harvey Lowe scores on his return from 5 months out of the game and Ash puts away yet another on 32 minutes rounding off an exceptional second half performance.
