The first game back after the Christmas break is always difficult, the cold conditions make it even harder.
Maidstone travel to Gore court on a 5 game unbeaten run and need to keep up the momentum.
The game starts with Maidstone piling on the pressure but the Gore court defence hold them off for a while, eventually Mark Bromley bursts into the D driving along the back line and aims a pass to Barry Coffey waiting in front of goal only for a defender to step in the way and a P Flick is awarded, up steps Ash Messenger to do the honours.

Another passing attack from the back sees Maidstone break away again 7 minutes later, this time Ash is clear down the right with Barry in the D, the keeper comes out behind Barry as he collects the pass, he
Waits for the keeper to start to get up before slipping the ball under him and passed the defender on the line.
2-0 Maidstone
5 minutes later and with 3 minutes of the half left Ash is clear down the right again this time sliding the ball between the keeper and defender to Alastair Coffey waiting at the far post to slot home his first ever goal in adult hockey.

The second half saw Gore court more determined and with just 5 minutes on the clock they manage to slot the ball last the out outstretched Ollie M in goal.

This spurred on the Maidstone defence and midfield a little and Gore court were held back in all there attacks, any that did get through to a shot on goal were saved brilliantly by Ollie in goal. Great pressing forward from the back saw Maidstone start to dominate again and with another selfless pass from Ash Edward B slots home Maidstone's 4th

Midfield pressure from Ian into and Kenny Stibbles sees Mark Bromley and Ollie L room tho run down the wings creating space and options.
