Remnants vs Maidstone 4th XI

Despite a superb team effort during the first 35 minutes, Maidstone found themselves 4-0 down at half time.

After an encouraging half time team talk by stand-in captain Michelle Smith, Maidstone came out strongly in the second half. Without taking any notice of the constant pressure that Remnants gave, Maidstone persevered to try to get the ball in the back of the net. But even with a goal line scramble at the end of the game, it wasn't meant to be. Millie Jones worked tirelessly in midfield but Player of the Match went deservedly to young keeper Freya Brown who was amazing in goal and managed to keep a lot more of Remnants shots at bay. Remnants themselves congratulated her on her tireless performance. Yet again the final score did not reflect the awesome team spirit that the Ladies 4th team had throughout the game.
