A bottom of the league clash for Maidstone Ladies 4’s away at Gravesend and not an enjoyable game. Maidstone’s development side cannot be faulted for their positivity and resilience in this tough season, but Gravesend were dogged and aggressive in their drive to ensure they took the points. Young keeper Niamh O’Reilly and defender Claudia Allsworth bravely battled some aggressive physical players but kept a cool temperament in difficult circumstances. Hebe Bowley, another young defender was resilient and hard working to earn player of the match.
The whole team should be commended for maintaining a professional, sporting and well-mannered approach in some difficult situations.
