Maidstone Ladies 4ths dominated this game from start to finish, with wave after wave of well-linked attacking play. It was therefore disappointing that one tiny defensive error towards the end of the first half allowed Gravesend to go ahead against the run of play.

Maidstone continued to attack positively throughout the second half and any further breaks by Gravesend were thwarted by great saves from young keeper Niamh O’Reilly. Thankfully Maidstone prevented a defeat when eventually one of their many well-worked attacks was finally turned into the net by player of the match Nicky Bourne.
