Maidstone Ladies 4ths and their opposition Folkestone were well-matched
this week. Both sides had chances in the first half but it was only Folkestone
who found the net to go 1-0 up at half time.
Maidstone took their eye off the ball at the start of the second half allowing
Folkestone’s sprightly youngsters to break and score their second early on. It
was end to end for the rest of the game with keeper Suzanne Warry making
some crucial saves before a great break down the right wing led to Nicky
Coomansingh slotting the ball past the keeper to make it 2-1. A buoyed
Maidstone battled until the end and were just inches away from an equalizer
on the final whistle.
