Maidstone Ladies 4s hit the road this weekend to take on Dartford Ladies 3s, bringing energy and determination to the pitch. From the first whistle, Maidstone dominated possession, setting the tone for an intense and exciting match.

Junior player Olivia sparked early hope with a strong shot on goal, but the Dartford keeper was quick to deflect it. Olivia continued to battle for the rebound with impressive grit, but the goal remained elusive. Undeterred, Maidstone stayed in control, and their persistence paid off when Kiera managed to tap the ball across the line to secure the first goal of the game.

However, Maidstone's focus on attacking left them vulnerable, and Dartford capitalized on a quick counterattack to level the score just before halftime.

During the break, Maidstone regrouped with some classic refueling (sweets, of course) and a tactical discussion. Fired up, the team returned to the pitch determined to make their dominance count.

The second half saw Maidstone maintain relentless pressure, firing off shot after shot. Dartford’s keeper was in top form, making save after save to frustrate Maidstone’s forwards. As the clock ticked down, it seemed as though Dartford’s defensive resilience might hold.

With just eight minutes remaining, Maidstone executed a crucial play. Passing back for a fresh attempt, Ava launched the ball into the back of the net with precision, putting Maidstone ahead 2-1.

Despite numerous further attempts to extend their lead, Maidstone couldn’t quite break through again. Nevertheless, their incredible energy and teamwork ensured they held their advantage until the final whistle.

This hard-fought victory marks Maidstone’s first contested win of the season after a string of walkovers. A special congratulations to Sasha, who earned Player of the Match honors for her exceptional pace and relentless effort throughout the game.
