Maidstone Ladies 4s returned after the Christmas break with a challenging friendly against Holcombe, who play in the league above. It was a good opportunity for a run out but Holcombe were dominant throughout and put together some well-worked attacks on goal. Young keeper Freya Brown made some excellent saves but the score was 0-3 at half time.

In the second half, Maidstone played with more confidence and started to push up the pitch but the Holcombe defence could not be broken down. Holcombe did not score again until the last quarter of the game, but they then made the most of muddled defending to score a further 3 before the final whistle. Player of the Match Michelle Garrett put in a sterling performance despite receiving a nasty ball on the knee which benched her temporarily.
