The ladies 4s used this friendly against K Sports to move a few of the younger players out of their comfort zone to try new positions. It was an effective strategy which saw increased focus, communication and energy, as well as some promising attacking partnerships. Unfortunately, an experienced K Sports player struck a clean goal to put the visitors ahead at half time but the second half saw Maidstone fly out of the blocks with a new determination. They put together a wave of attacks and were eventually rewarded with an equaliser turned in by Teresa Griffiths in a great position on the post. Maidstone were suddenly hungry for more and a frenetic goal scuffle was put over the line by Kate Bowen for the winner. Player of the Match votes were widely spread but Niki Davis deservedly took the honour for being a solid play maker throughout.
