Maidstone Vs Burnt Ash

Once again the 3's had to make changes to the team and found it hard this week to settle into any kind of rhythm but the team managed to absorb the early pressure and began to create some chances going close to taking the lead on a few occasions.
Burnt Ash however kept driving forward and although Vicky had made some superb saves Burnt Ash went into halftime leading 1-0.
Maidstone started the second half stronger than Burnt Ash and found a sublime equaliser when the always impressive Bethan played the perfect through ball to Hannah to find herself one to one with the keeper and very composed and calmly placed the ball perfectly to make it 1-1.
Maidstone then had a chance to take the lead when Smithy's short corner was saved on the line and with Amber following up the defender stopped the ball crossing the line with her foot to give us a penalty flick.
Smithy lifted the ball perfectly at the right height but unfortunately her shot was just fractionally wide. Although Vicky made a number of great saves again in the second half there was little Maidstone could do in the last 5 minutes to stop Burnt Ash from grabbing a late winner.
