Maidstone started the game strongly and had the upper hand for the first 5-10 minutes creating chances and were unlucky not to take the lead when a great through ball from Nikki on the left found Julie who's lifted shot was heading into the top corner but the keeper managed to tip it round the post. For the rest of the half, Maidstone seemed to be just half a yard slower to the ball and by half time BBHC were 2-0 up.
The 2nd half didn't get off to a good start with BBHC adding another with a very well worked goal.
This the prompted Maidstone to wake up and suddenly the whole team had fire in their bellies, passes were more accurate and chances once again were created.
Becky struck a great shot to give us a consolation goal with a little over 5 minutes to go...or was it? 2 minutes later, Megan put one past the posts to make it 3-2. Could we pull off a great comeback?
Not quite. With literally the last hit of the game, Bethan was extremely unlucky to hit the post and the ball just wouldn't spin over the line. Unlucky right at the end but an exciting fight back.
