Maidstone Ladies 2s 1 - Gore Court Ladies 1s 6

Gore court started the game very brightly and with Maidstone missing a number of key players very quickly took advantage to score within the first five minutes. Gore court soon doubled their tally albeit both umpires missed them kicking the ball into the net! From then on Maidstone were always on an uphill battle and conceded 2 more first half goals. However towards the end of the half Maidstone began to find a bit of form and a great through ball from Jen Capstick found Julie Davies in the d and managed to force a short corner which resulted in Jen Capstick converting from what looked to be an impossible angle.
Maidstone were stronger in the 2nd half but were always up against it playing a very well drilled side however Maidstone goalkeeper and Pom maddy grove was in inspired form and made a string of impressive saves but unfortunately this wasn’t enough to prevent gore court adding 2 more goals to the tally. Final score Maidstone 1-6 Gore Court.
