Unfortunately Maidstone were caught half asleep when BBHC managed to score in the first 20 seconds of the game. BBHC were moving the ball around well and with good movement soon found themselves 2-0 up. To Maidstone’s credit heads didn’t go down and began to get back into the game forcing BBHC to start defending yet despite this Maidstone again conceded shortly before half time.
The second half was a much more evenly contested game with every single Maidstone player working hard for each other and goal keeper maddy grove making some fine saves. With the defence standing firm the Maidstone midfield could push a little higher up the pitch and Maidstone started to get some efforts on goal but just couldn’t get that final touch. POM was shared between Carly Brinn, Julie Davies and Amanda Gates but with the votes so spread out amongst all players it shows what a great team effort Maidstone put in .
