During the first half, Maidstone attacked very well. The ball was rarely in our own half however we didn’t make the most of our chances as we did everything apart from scoring! The Folkestone goalkeeper was very good. We were still very strong going into the second half and after 15 minutes, Lils scored after Bethan passed the ball across the D during a short corner. After some more good chances from Maidstone, Tracey scored with a fantastic hit from the edge of the D beating the Folkestone goalkeeper. Bea and Diz worked tirelessly in the middle, with Amber and Bethan creating some good goal scoring opportunities. Georgia scored after rolling the ball around the keeper to make it 3-0 to Maidstone. Lou and Maddy helped keep Folkestone out of our half and were very strong at the back, as well as Liv and Freya who helped feed the ball down the lines. Carly made some good balls through the middle and Tash made some very good saves when needed. What a great start to the season for the Ladies 2s!
