Maidstone men's 4s

Maidstone were positive going into the last game of the season on the back of a good win. The first half saw some good pressure and great defending. Unfortunately we couldn't convert any of the chances we created.
We were dominating the whole pitch and starting fluster the opposition but just couldn't get passed the keeper who had a great day. 0-0 half time.
Second half saw the Gravesham team up their game and change the shape of the team. They broke through the defence and earned a short corner that was upgraded to a P-flick at the request of the Gravesham forwards. 1-0.
Shortly afterwards the Gravesham defence were caught out by a deflected pass that had the keeper and a defender in confusion,allowing the Maidstone captain to run in on the fumbled ball and flick it goalwards only for the keeper to somehow get a glove to it.
Some brilliant approach play from Maidstone saw them earn a few short corners but we were unable to on on most of them. One short corner however was masterfully put away by Matt with a great drag flick sent straight through the defence and keeper. 1-1.
Unfortunately Gravesham managed a second goal when a shot was deflected passed the out outstretched hand of Steve who had had a fantastic game in goal but even he couldn't reach the call as it slid into the top corner. 2-1 and another undeserved defeat for the blossoming Maidstone men's 4s.
