The first game post-Christmas break showcased an exhilarating battle between Maidstone Ladies 4s and Gillingham Anchorians, where both teams were determined to take home a win.

In a fiercely contested first half, Maidstone Ladies took the lead through a stunning goal orchestrated by the junior player, Amber. Her decisive shot from a short corner initially faced contention from the opposition, alleging a double touch by the Maidstone injector and junior player Kiera. After deliberation by the umpires, the goal stood firm, granting Maidstone a well-deserved 1-0 advantage.

The second half witnessed relentless efforts from both sides to add to the scoreline. Despite numerous attempts, the net remained elusive as the defense and goalkeeping proved resolute. When the final whistle echoed, Maidstone retained their 1-0 lead, marking a triumphant return to the hockey field for the team.
