Ladies 2s’ Saturday’s game saw them take on Old Bordenians at home. For the first
half the majority of the possession was in the home teams favour causing them to hit
the score sheet first with a calm, determined strike from Victoria O’Reilly. However,
Old Bordenians counter attack was too strong and despite several penalty corner
saves from Maidstone’s defence, Old Bordenians levelled the score making it 1-1 at
half time.
For the second half, Maidstone seemed to take a step back and allowed Old
Bordenians to take control of the game and secure another goal but Maidstone did
not give up and pushed to level the score but could not convert leaving the final
score 2-1 to Old Bordenians. Claire Daniels was voted Player of the Match.
