Maidstone Ladies 3s 4 - Burnt Ash Ladies 4s 3

Ladies 3’s played Burnt Ash 4’s at Hurstmere School yesterday. We won 4-3, scorers were Ellie Doherty, Kathryn Goodwin, Ella Collie and Jaime Cronk. Joint POM were Jo Hernon and Kathryn Goodwin.

Once again Maidstone ladies 3’s were triumphant and continued to demonstrate their excellent form this half of the season. Both teams came to this game safe from relegation but Maidstone were still aiming for a win and 3 points. Maidstone proved their dominance in the first half scoring 4 goals, two from short corners with Ella Collie and Jaime Cronk in perfect positions to capitalise from goal keeper deflections. A further goal scored by Ellie Doherty slipped past the keeper following an excellent pass into the D from Madeleine Jarvis. Kathryn Goodwin was rewarded with a goal following her perfect runs as a forward into dangerous positions in front of the opposition keeper. Burnt Ash continued to battle and scored their first goal just before half time.

The second half saw Burnt Ash battle hard to get back into the game and score a further 2 goals from open play. Maidstone’s keeper Jo Hernon demonstrated her amazing skills and saved several hits on goal to help secure the 4-3 win and a perfect way to finish the season.
