Maidstone came out with determination and played a strong first half and were rewarded with 2 excellent goals from open play. Madeleine Jarvis played a perfect ball into the D following a textbook run by Charlotte Nudd to the post where she finished it off. Maidstone continued to put pressure on the Folkestone keeper peppering her with shots and were rewarded when Kathryn Goodwin scored from a keeper deflection from great positional play as a striker.
The second half saw Folkestone with some shots and opportunities on goal but thanks to excellent keeper skills by Niamh O’Reilly they were frustrated with no goals. Maidstone scored their third goal from a great short corner and quick reactions from Madeleine Jarvis.
Well deserved win from a strong team performance and continued intensity throughout both halves.
