Ladies 2s v Kings Alleyns
Kings started the game brightly moving the ball around but the Maidstone back line of Lucinda de Gray Sue Cutmore and Carly Brinn stood firm and did not let the opposition get a clear sight at goal. Having soaked up a little early pressure Maidstone found their feet with the midfield especially Jen Duggan and Larissa Keyte starting to drive the ball forward however Maidstone were unlucky on the balance of play to concede a goal mid way through the first half when the unfortunate Amanda Gates was unlucky to deflect the ball past keeper maddy grove from a Kings short corner.
Maidstone worked well as a team in the second half moving the ball around nicely and pushing hard for the equaliser and came agonisingly close with just minutes remaining when a chance fell to Shrey Thapa and some how the ball just spinned on the goal line and Kings just managed to scramble it away.
Final score 0-1 an unlucky result but an all round hard working team performance. Pom award went to new comer Larissa Keyte.
