Ladies 4s fought hard against top of the league

Bottom of the league Maidstone Ladies 4’s played top of the league Old Bordenians with their usual fighting spirit in a game that, as has been the case all season, did not reflect the score line. It was end to end throughout with Maidstone’s numerous chances thwarted by the Old Bordenians keeper’s impressive reactions until Mary Seabourne found herself in the perfect spot to tidy up deflection. Old Bordenians’ goals were predominantly impressive fast breaks by two skilful players – one managing to outwit Maidstone to score six times.
In the second half, heads didn’t drop. Nicky Bourne, having had short corners saved, finally rattled the back board to score Maidstone’s second.

Player of the match votes were truly spread reflecting a great all round team performance. Nicky Coomansingh and Kay Bowley edged ahead to share Player of the Match honours.
