FUNDRAISING
The Club is always looking at ways to raise additional funding to support the running costs. The most recent projects were :-
Maidstone Half Marathon
Our Club was invited to supply 50 marshalls for Sunday 19 October, for which it will receive a donation from the half marathon organisers - Maidstone Harriers. This was a good, and fun, way to raise money for the club - and it supported a town sporting activity.
Thanks go to the organiser Mark Gibbons and all the volunteers.
The Club also supported this event last year, and we received widespread praise for the marshalling - plus a donation of £2,000
Club Sponsored Walk
On Sunday 28 September members of the club, supporters, friends and dogs took part in a 10 mile sponsored walk around the Loose Valley. The walk started (9qm) & finished at the clubhouse. As last year the weather was fantastic. At the end of the walk there was soup and rolls and other hot goodies.
