Fantastic fun was had in Fremlin walk on Saturday by the Rawhide Riders and their challengers: This Hockey Club, Weald of Kent Golf Club, Becca's team from the Heart of Kent Hospice and a team from Dempson Croake. The mad cyclists pedalled from 10am to 4pm to raise funds for Heart of Kent Hospice, Teenage Cancer Trust and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
The hockey club team of Mark Gibbons, Graham Clarkson, Louise Cassey, Charlotte Parker, and Mick Emery did the club proud, with a sterling performance, cycling 210 km over 6 hr period. The winning team of expert cyclists rode 245 km. The event should have raised an estimated £500 for local charities.
